at the surface.

I am a Christian, a student, a hugger, a self-diagnosed coffee-addict, and maybe one of the sappiest people you’ll ever meet. Did I mention that I’m also a 2 on the Enneagram? You can probably begin to paint a picture of what I’m like.

Something I’ve gotten very comfortable with over the past couple of years is vulnerability. It’s an idea that makes so many people anxious because sharing our hearts with others is scary. We live in a society that pressures us to constantly seek perfection, especially over social media. Of course, it is important to put our best foot forward in all that we do, but it can become damaging when we lose authenticity. As a believer, I hold my relationships with others in very high regard. I believe God puts people in my life for a very specific reason, and for a very specific amount of time. Maintaining surface-level relationships with people I love isn’t enough for me. I want to know where their heart is and what they’re going through so I can be the best friend possible.

This may be the first time you’ve ever stumbled across my blog, and I’m SO glad you are here. I want this to be a space where you can feel encouraged, known, and cared for. I encourage you to reach out if you ever want to discuss in greater details the topics I cover. I’m here to make friends, and hopefully life-long ones! I can promise you that I will be honest in everything I write, as it is my way of letting the world into my little bubble. My hope is that the Lord will speak through my writing, and that it may be pleasing to Him. Maybe, just maybe, it will give someone the hope they need to press on.
