Over the course of my life, but especially in the past few years, my faith has become extremely important to me. It fills me up when my cup runs dry. It gives me purpose when I feel I have none. It affords me hope and joy in a bleak world. Without the love of Christ, I would not be who I am today; I say that with full confidence. Below is a short statement of what I believe to be true about creation, and how I believe I fit into the grand puzzle.
I believe in Jesus Christ, who was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life without sin, and was crucified on the cross for the remission of all our transgressions. I believe His grace and mercy is of the sweetest kind, and is afforded to all who believe in Him, no matter what they have done or what they will do. I believe in the inerrancy of scripture, and the infallible nature of Christ’s teachings. I believe that we are saved by grace through faith alone, and that once we are in the body of Christ, we are in it forever.
I believe that I belong to Christ, and to Christ alone. I believe that my time on this Earth is temporary, and is matchless to the beauty and awe-inspiring wonder of God’s Heavenly Kingdom. I believe that my life has purpose, that God’s intelligent design is flawless in all ways. I boast in the assurance of His promise that all who worship Him will heed the riches of His Kingdom. I believe I am loved unconditionally, and I believe you are, too.
